Noble-Sounding Rot

Perhaps if there is one bright side to this rambling wreck of a Bush administration, it is that its actions might have gone a long way to opening the eyes of those who once paid it loyal lip-service.

As President Bush marched the country to war with Iraq, even some voices on the Right warned that this was a fool's errand. I dismissed them angrily. I thought them unpatriotic.

But almost four years later, I see that I was the fool.
