I am registered neither as a Democrat nor a Republican, but I am now a member of the American Civil Liberties Union.
The ACLU is perhaps the only organization willing to fight on behalf of the United States Constitution.

My problem with the ACLU is that they believe everyone is equal and deserves equal treatment. See, I think if you're a member of the neo-Nazis or the KKK, you don't get equal treatment, since your very philosophy is based on the desire to deprive certain minorities of equal treatment.
I don't think hatred should be a right or a privilege.
Otherwise, the ACLU is A-OK!
The ACLU remains the best defender of our rights. It sure as hell isn't the U.S. Congress.
